Dr. del Ser currently coordinates the Clinical Group at the CIEN Foundation (Center for Research in Neurological Diseases). With degrees in psychology and medicine, and a graduate in political sociology, he earned his doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in Neurology at the 12 de Octubre University Hospital (Madrid).
He pursued postdoctoral studies in this field, as well as in neuropathology and neuropsychology, in Geneva (Switzerland), Paris (France), and London (Canada). He held positions as Head of the Neurology Section at the Severo Ochoa University Hospital (Madrid) and as Director of Clinical Development and Medical Director at Noscira, a Zeltia group company. In this latter role, he contributed to the clinical development of a compound for treating Alzheimer’s disease up to its Phase II clinical trial.
He also worked as an associate professor of Neuropsychology at the Complutense University of Madrid, Vice President of the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN), and President of the Madrid Neurology Association. Dr. del Ser has authored or co-authored over 160 scientific articles and 80 book chapters.
