Noelia López is a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Since the beginning of her professional career, the main object of her research has been the study of both development and degeneration of the central nervous system. The discovery of the existence of tetraploid neurons in humans, as well as their possible involvement in Alzheimer’s disease, was the basis for the creation of the company Tetraneuron S.L., for which she has worked since its creation. Currently, her efforts are oriented towards the development of therapies against Alzheimer’s disease, as well as its possible early diagnosis. She is the author of numerous scientific articles and co-author of two patents.
