Anna Lozano Ureña holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Valencia. Her research career has focused on the study of the brain and the cellular mechanisms that regulate its function. During her doctoral studies in Valencia and later as a postdoctoral researcher in Madrid, she concentrated her research on neural stem cells and their key role in the organization, maintenance, and plasticity of the nervous system.
Her work aims to understand how these cells influence the onset and progression of various neurological conditions, including genomic imprinting syndromes, brain cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease. Through this approach, she contributes to expanding knowledge of the biological processes underlying these diseases and to opening new avenues for their study and treatment.
