Dr. del Ser is currently the coordinator of the Clinical Group of the CIEN Foundation (Centro de Investigación de Enfermedades Neurológicas). With a degree in psychology and medicine, a degree in political sociology, and a doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid, he specialized in Neurology at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre (Madrid).
He conducted postdoctoral studies in this specialty, as well as in neuropathology and neuropsychology, in Geneva (Switzerland), Paris (France) and London (Canada). He has served as head of the Neurology Section at the Severo Ochoa University Hospital (Madrid) and as director of Clinical Development and medical director of the company Noscira, of the Zeltia group. In this latter position, he participated in the clinical development of a compound to treat Alzheimer’s disease up to its clinical phase II.
He has also worked as an Associate Professor of Neuropsychology at the Complutense University of Madrid, Vice President of the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN) and President of the Madrid Association of Neurology. He has published more than 160 scientific articles and 80 book chapters as author or co-author.
