Cookies policy
1.- BACKGROUND
In compliance with the Spanish regulations governing cookie usage related to the provision of electronic communication services, as stipulated in Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, dated July 11, on information society services and electronic commerce, we’re providing information about the cookies used on the TETRANEURÓN S.L. website and their intended purposes.
2.- WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a file downloaded onto your computer when accessing specific web pages. Among other things, cookies enable a website to store and retrieve information about a user’s browsing habits or their device. Depending on the information they contain and how your device is used, they can recognize the user. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous user and their computer or device and do not provide references to disclose personal data.
3.- TYPES OF COOKIES
3.1.- According to the entity that manages them
- a.- First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by the website’s editor and where the user-requested service is provided.
- b.- Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain not managed by the editor but by another entity processing data obtained through cookies.
3.2.- According to the purpose
Existen muchas finalidades para el uso de las cookies. Según la finalidad para la que se traten los datos obtenidos a través de las cookies, algunas de las finalidades pueden ser:
- a) Technical cookies: These enable user navigation through a website, platform, or application, allowing access to different options or services available. For instance, these cookies assist the editor in managing and operating the website, enabling its functions and services, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying sessions, accessing restricted parts, recalling elements of a purchase, managing payment, monitoring service-related security fraud, event registration or participation, counting visits for software license billing, ensuring security during navigation, storing content for video or audio dissemination, enabling dynamic content (e.g., loading text or image animation), or sharing content via social networks.
Technical cookies are exempt from compliance with obligations set in Article 22.2 of the LSSI when they facilitate the requested service, as listed in the preceding paragraphs. However, if these cookies are used for non-exempt purposes (e.g., behavioral advertising), they will be subject to these obligations.
- b) Preference or customization cookies: These remember information so users access services with specific characteristics distinguishing their experience from others. This could include language preferences, search result display preferences, service appearance or content based on browser type, or accessing the service from a specific region.
If users themselves choose these characteristics (e.g., selecting a website’s language via a country flag icon), cookies are exempt from obligations under Article 22.2 of the LSSI, considered a service specifically requested by the user, provided the cookies align solely with the selected purpose.
- c) Analysis or measurement cookies: These allow controllers to track and analyze user behavior on associated websites, including quantifying ad impacts. Data collected helps measure website, application, or platform activity for improvements based on user usage data analysis.
- d) Behavioral advertising cookies: These store user behavior information, derived from continuous observation of browsing habits, enabling the creation of a specific profile to display ads accordingly.
3.3.- According to the duration they remain active
- a) Session cookies: These collect and store data while the user accesses a website. Typically used to retain information relevant for a single service provision instance (e.g., a list of purchased products) and vanish when the session ends.
- b) Persistent cookies: Data remains stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a duration determined by the cookie’s controller, ranging from minutes to several years.
